Quality vs Quantity

Wow.. hi everyone...
It's been a while.. sorry about that... I've missed you!

So, as some of you may know I'm a total sucker for products... the little bottles / tubes.. the packaging... It just somehow makes me tick.. tick.. tick...  I'm sure many of you know exactly what I mean!?  I'm not alone in this right?

I am trying to de-clutter my life at the moment.. Clearing out my closet - getting ruthless and donating the clothes and shoes I haven't worn in years or have worn maybe once... some clothes even still have labels on.. yes I know... stop judging!

I'm trying to do the same with the products I use.  Over the last couple of months I have tried to rather buy one nice thing that's a good quality brand rather than buying multiple cheaper items.  Am applying this strategy to clothing as well and it's wonderful!  I find myself looking forward to wearing my clothes because they're all special - BONUS!  Being creative with outfits is fun - wearing the same items, but mixing things up to create a new look each time - challenge accepted!

I have a few favourite products that I find myself using daily, so I thought I'd share them with you...

Starting from the top left moving clockwise:

1) Human + Kind all-in-one Wash off Facial Cleanser
2) Human + Kind all-in-one Day + Night Cream

These products are all natural and chemical free which is great! The brand's ethos is to offer skincare with a difference.  I'll be doing a post on Human + Kind soon so keep checking in for more details!

3) Organic Wear mascara by Physicians Formula - 100% natural origin mascara
4) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - #617 (Iced Mocha)
5) Dr.Hauschka Lip Balm
6) Garnier BB Cream  - Medium
7) Clarins Eau des Jardins
8) Woolworths Vanilla & Brown Sugar hand & nail cream - with with argan oil

For those of you in South Africa - if you're not sure where to find any of the products just leave a message and I'll let you know.

I would love to know what essentials you can't live without - so please share!

Please follow me on Twitter and Instagram (tanjadebruyn) and post pics of your favourites using #sweetpeasunrise so that I can see them!

Thanks for spending some quality time with me.. Have a happy weekend everyone - Come back soon!

Lots of love,
T

Mauritian Moments - Part 1

We were blessed enough to go on a magical holiday to Mauritius in June.
Two weeks to relax, soak up the sun, swim in the ocean and sip on cocktails... heaven!

We stayed at the Ambre Hotel on the east coast for 5 nights and another 5 nights at Le Victoria Hotel on the north west coast.  One of my best friends from varsity lives in Mauritius, so we stayed with her for a few nights in between.  It was so great spending some time together and making new memories to cherish for years to come.

Looking at the photos I wish we could be there again... especially since we've had such miserable weather in Cape Town... Really am a summer baby / beach bum!  Feels like so long ago although it's only been a few weeks... But we'll always have the memories!

It was such a special holiday for Joe and I.  One we will never forget!  I am so truly blessed to have such an amazing husband that loves me so much.

Enjoy the photos!  Let me know were in the world you have recently visited - I would love to know!
Follow me on Instagram (tanjadebruyn) and tag me in some pics!

Be sure to come back for Part 2 soon where we do a little local style holiday before going to the next Resort!

Lots of warm island love,
T

Saturday morning exploring

On Saturday morning Joe and I got up earlier than usual and decided to go on a little exploring adventure to experience the sun rising over the city on this perfect Autumn morning in Cape Town.

We parked a Arnold's - our final destination and walked along the little roads till we got to De Waal Park.

We always drive past and say we should go inside, but never seem to have the opportunity.
Here is what we found :)

After some exploring we headed to Arnold's for our morning coffee and the Chef's Breakfast - one of the best deals in town!

Have a good week!

Photo catch up

Hello my lovelies!

I realised recently that quite some time has passed since I shared anything with you.
Sorry about that!
I'm sure (hope) that it's not only me that feels like this year is passing by way to quickly!
I just can't seem to keep up :)

I thought what better way to catch up quickly than with some photos!
I will elaborate on some of them with their own posts soon, so keep a look out...

Enjoy and see you again soon!
Big hug, T xxx
